Four injured in firing incident in south Kashmir

Four persons were injured when unidentified gunmen opened indiscriminate firing in south Kashmir`s Bijbehara town on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway, officials said here on Friday.

Srinagar: Four persons were injured when unidentified gunmen opened indiscriminate firing in south Kashmir`s Bijbehara town on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway,
officials said here on Friday.

The gunmen, who were in an autorickshaw, fired indiscriminately on the four local youth at Sirhama crossing in Bijbehara, 45 kms from here, late last night.

The injured - Irfan Ahmad, Reyaz Ahmad, Parvaiz Ahmad and Mohammad Ashraf - were first taken to Bijbehara sub-district hospital and later referred to SMHS hospital
here.

The condition of the all the injured persons is stated to be stable.

Police have seized the autorickshaw left behind by the gunmen.
