Jammu: The 34th batch of pilgrims comprising
426 people Tuesday left for the Amarnath yatra from here amid tight security, police said.
As many as 270 men, 55 women, 4 children and 97 seers
left the Bhagwati Nagar base camp in the early hours in a
cavalcade of 14 vehicles for the 13,500-feet-high cave shrine
situated in the Himalayas in south Kashmir.
With today's batch, as many as 76,709 pilgrims have left
Jammu in 34 batches for their onward journey to the cave
shrine.
