Jammu: Jammu and Kashmir Minister Chowdhary Lal Singh on Saturday advised hardline Hurriyat Conference chairman Sayeed Ali Shah Geelani to practice yoga to be able to distinguish between right and wrong and said separatists who object to yoga "themselves don't know about Islam".

"They themselves don't know about Islam. They are stupid," Singh replied to a question on some separatist outfits objecting to yoga.

Asked which 'asana' he would recommend to Geelani, Singh said, "He must do an asana that keeps him calm and makes him differentiate between right and wrong."

He earlier said that International Yoga Day would be celebrated at district, tehsil and village levels in the state and the main event held at Gulshan ground in Jammu, expected to be attended by over 5,000 people.

Singh said the state government has decided to develop Mantalai in Udhampur district as the International Yoga Centre.
