Jammu: Jammu and Kashmir government Friday
said that as many as 43,000 casual labourers will be engaged
in various departments in the state.
In a written reply to the question of PDP legislator
Muzaffar Hussain Beig, Minister for Labour and Employment
Abdul Gani Malik told Legislative Assembly that 43,000 casual
labourers will be engaged in various departments in the state.
Giving a breakup, he said that 10,000 each such
labourers would be engaged in Power Development
Department (PDD), PHE/Irrigation and flood Control department
Similarly, 8,000 would be engaged in Rural Development
Department followed by 6,000 each in Public Works Department
and School Education Department, 2,000 in Floriculture
Department and 1,000 in forest Department, he said.
