Hideout unearthed in Poonch, arms recovered

The Army on Thursday unearthed a militant hideout and recovered a cache of ammunition and explosives from border belt of Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir, police said.

Jammu: The Army on Thursday unearthed a militant hideout and recovered a cache of ammunition and explosives from border belt of Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir,
police said.

Acting on a tip off, Army launched a search operation in Balol nallah forest belt in Mendhar border tehsil and unearthed the hideout.

161 rounds of AK rifle, 7 detonators, 2 hand grenades, 18 Rocket Projectile Grenades (RPGs), 9 gelatine sticks and 10 mts of fuse wire were recovered from there, they said.
