Jammu: Protesting the killing of three Hindu doctors in Pakistan's Sindh province, a Hindu body on Friday burnt an effigy of the neighbouring country and demanded protection of the community members and Sikhs there.

Led by its president Dimpy Kohli, over 200 activists of Hindustan Shiv Sena took out a protest march in the city and shouted slogans against the killings.

Displaying placards demanding protection of Hindus and Sikhs in the neighbouring nation and punishment to people involved in the murders, the agitators burnt the effigy of Pakistan.

According to reports, the three brothers were recently gunned down by some unidentified armed persons following a dispute between Hindus and Muslims in Shikarpur district involving a Muslim girl.

Dr. M. Ashaq Raza - Jammu
Hindus in India Protest for Hindus killed in Pakistan, Muslims protest in Pakistan when Muslims are killed In India. Why don’t we protect a fellow national here? Why don’t they protect a fellow human there? The day, when Muslims will protest for Hindus killings, and Hindus for Muslims, peace will be prevailing to its fullest in the region. I wonder when will it happen, when Indian and Pakistani minds will think above these lines. But being a Muslim I lodge my strongest protest against this inhumane act of cruelty and cowardice - that is against Islamic hence humane spirit. And request, fellow Indians and Pakistanis to fight against this disease. I think Peace Education is a long term remedy to overcome this problem in the region and beyond.
