Srinagar: Three militants, including a self-styled divisional commander of Hizbul Mujahideen, were killed in a gun battle between ultras hiding in a house and
security forces in Pulwama district of south Kashmir Wednesday.
Acting on a tip off provided by the local police, a joint team of police, Army and CRPF cordoned Drubgam village in Rajpora, 45 kms from here, police said.
The militants were killed after a 10-hour long operation, they said, adding two of the terrorists were identified as Latif Tedra and R Bhat.
While Latif was a `divisional commander` of Hizbul, Bhat was a `platoon commander` and was wanted in killings of some women in the area.
