New Delhi: In the midst of escalating tension between India and Pakistan, Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Monday reached the Ladakh region on a two-day visit starting from today.
"Our soldiers and Army is giving a befitting reply," Singh said in reaction to Sunday night's attack on a BSF camp in Baramulla town of Jammu and Kashmir, as well as continuous ceasefire violations along the international border with Pakistan.
he visit, which is part of the Centre's efforts to bring normalcy in Jammu and Kashmir, comes days after Army conducted surgical strikes against terror launch pads across LoC.
During his visit, Singh will hold meetings with various delegations in Leh and Kargil.
This will be the fourth visit of the Home Minister to the state in the recent past. Last month, he had led an all-party delegation to Srinagar and Jammu.
The delegation met about 50 different delegations from various sections of society.
