Home ministry official calls on J&K Governor over Amarnath yatra security

A senior officer of the Union Home ministry on Thursday called on Jammu and Kashmir Governor NN Vohra here and discussed the security issues in the state besides preparations for the upcoming annual Amarnath yatra.

Joint Secretary (Kashmir Affairs) in the Union ministry of Home Affairs R K Srivastava met Vohra at Raj Bhavan and discussed issues pertaining to Internal Security management, cross LoC Trade and preparations for the ensuing Amarnath yatra, an official spokesman said. Earlier in the day, Srivastava held a meeting with Chief Executive Officer of Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board Rakesh K Gupta and other security forces officers to discuss the security arrangements being made for the yatra scheduled to commence on June 28.
