Srinagar: The two-day meeting of the moderate
faction of Hurriyat Conference remained inconclusive as the
leaders failed to arrive at a consensus over the restructuring
of amalgam ahead of the proposed Pakistan visit.

The meeting, headed by Chairman Mirwaiz Umer Farooq,
remained inconclusive on its second day today and the leaders
will be meeting again on December 9 to discuss the issue of
restructuring the amalgam, Hurriyat sources told PTI.

On November 23, the Hurriyat suspended the organisational
set up including the office-bearers after a section of leaders
revolted against the Executive council -- the highest decision
making body -- and demanded their involvement in the important
decisions like party`s stand on dialogue with the Centre.

"The restructuring of the Hurriyat was the only agenda
discussed during the meeting," the sources said.

They said the leaders sought some more time from the
chairman to take a review of the suggestions and it was
unanimously decided that the meeting will resume on December9.

"Hurriyat is discussing various proposals and it will
take some more time," sources said.

They said there was no discussion about the quiet
dialogue with New Delhi or the proposed Pakistan visit during
the meeting.
