Srinagar: The moderate faction of Hurriyat
Conference today demanded resumption of composite dialogue
between India and Pakistan and said third party mediation was
required to resolve the Kashmir issue.

"The tension and confrontation between India and Pakistan
is increasing with each passing day and in such a scenario, we
feel a third country or party should play the role of a
mediator to resolve the long-standing Kashmir issue," Mirwaiz
Umer Farooq, chairman of moderate faction of Hurriyat
Conference, told a delegation of European Union here.

The delegation comprised diplomats Lisa Valjenta from
Finland, Aslak Brun (Norway), Danny Anan (Denmark) and Andres
