I hope recommendations of interlocutors will be implemented: Farooq Abdullah

Union Minister Farooq Abdullah on Tuesday hoped that recommendations of the interlocutors on the Kashmir issue will be implemented and not only remain in statute books.

Abdullah on Tuesday hoped that recommendations of the interlocutors
on the Kashmir issue will be implemented and not only remain
in statute books.

"I hope the recommendations they (interlocutors) make,
will not only remain to statue books but will be implemented,"
he told reporters here.
The interlocutors have been appointed by the Centre to
hold a sustained dialogue with all sections of people in Jammu
and Kashmir.

The New and Renewable Energy Minister made the remarks
after a meeting with the panel of interlocutors.

Assuring full support to the panel from his party
National Conference, Abdullah said, "We hope that they will
find a way support to the political problem in Jammu and
Kashmir."

The three interlocutors appointed by the Centre for
Jammu and Kashmir have suggested a number of administrative
and confidence building measures which have been forwarded to
the state government for necessary action.
The panel of three interlocutors -- Dileep Padgaonkar,
M M Ansari and Radha Kumar -- have submitted their first
report after visiting the state and talking to all shades of
opinion.
