Jammu: A two-hour bandh was called today by
citizens forum in Jammu and Kashmir's Doda district demanding
the state government to provide compensation to people whose
property and crops were washed away by flash floods, police
said.
All business establishments remained closed and traffic
went off the road during the bandh period, they said.
Over a thousand people held a demonstration in the town
demanding immediate compensation to the people who had lost
houses, crops, cow sheds and shops due to flash floods in the
district last year, police said.
