J-K Govt appoints 323 ReTs in Jammu division

Jammu: The Jammu and Kashmir government has appointed 323 Rehbar-e-Taleem (ReT) teachers in Jammu division, an official spokesman said here on Friday.

Director School Education (Jammu) Zahida Khan has accorded approval for engagement of 323 new ReT or contractual teachers in the Jammu region. Besides this, 131 RETs have also been regularised as General Line Teachers under the SSA scheme, he said.

As many as 30 ReTs are engaged in Jammu, 18 in Kathua, 14 in Samba, 29 in Udhampur, 40 in Doda, 12 in Kishtwar, 78 in Ramban, 44 in Reasi, 22 in Rajouri and 36 in Poonch, the spokesman said.

He said 17 ReTs were regularised in Jammu district, 72 in Kathua district, 13 in Samba, 14 in Doda, 13 in Rajouri and two in Poonch district.
