Jammu: Four persons, including two Army jawans were killed and 24 others were injured in two separate mishaps in Rajouri and Poonch districts of Jammu and Kashmir, police said.
An Army vehicle, which was on its way from Poonch to Bhimbergali area in the Poonch district, skidded off the Jammu-Poonch highway and rolled down into a deep gorge at Tota-wali-gali this morning, they said.
Two jawans, identified as Lance Naik Vinod and driver Sepoy Shiv Kumar, died on the spot while another jawan Lance Naik Parmod was injured and has been hospitalised, they said.
In a separate incident, a matador carrying a marriage party skidded off the road and rolled down into deep gorge in Kalar-Chingus belt in Rajouri district last night, they said.
In the mishap, the conductor of the vehicle Ankush Kumar and a seven-year-old girl Vidhya were killed and 23 others were injured, they said, adding that the injured have been hospitalised.
