Jammu has 35 unauthorised colonies

The Jammu and Kashmir government on Monday said that there are 35 unauthorised colonies in Jammu district of the state.

Replying to a question by BJP member Ashok Khajuria in
the Legislative Assembly today, Deputy Chief Minister Tara
Chand said that there are 35 unauthorised colonies in Jammu
district.

He further said that out of them, 13 unauthorised
colonies have been regularised from 2002 to 2010.

There is no such proposal for regularisation of Rajiv
Colony, Peer Kho in Jammu East constituency, he said adding
Prem Nagar, Gujjar Nagar are regularised colonies and Qasim
Nagar colony is under the process of regularisation by the
Jammu Development Authority (JDA).
