J&K govt launches campaign to spread awareness about voting
Ahead of the 2014 Parliament and Assembly Elections, the Jammu and Kashmir government has launched a campaign to create awareness among the people of the Jammu district about voting.

Jammu: Ahead of the 2014 Parliament and Assembly Elections, the Jammu and Kashmir government has launched a campaign through a bus to create awareness among the people of the Jammu district about voting.
The district administration of Jammu, as an initiative under the Systematic Voters Education and Electoral Participation Programme (SVEEP), has launched a mobile bus "Vote on Wheels", a spokesman said today.
The purpose of launching the publicity van is to create awareness among people of Jammu district regarding the importance of their vote and also motivate them, particularly youth, to enrol themselves as voters.
The van will go to different parts of Jammu in a phased manner over the next 15 days, with special emphasis on rural areas, the spokesman said.
A drop box has kept in the bus for collecting the duly filled forms (Form 6,7, 8 & 8 A), he said.
The citizens have been appealed to participate with full fervour and enthusiasm in helping the district administration to achieve the target of highest voter participation in Jammu & Kashmir, spokesman said.

Jammu and Kashmir is scheduled to go to Parliament polls with rest of the country in 2014 and Assembly Election at the end of the next year.
