Jammu: Amid uproar, agitated opposition
members On Tuesday staged a walkout in the Jammu and Kashmir
Assembly alleging the state government was not implementing
the decisions of District Development Boards (DDBs).
Earlier, members, cutting across party lines, slammed
the government over the issue saying the legislators were not
taken on board while formulating district plans.
Congress member G M Saroori said even the decision taken
at the board meeting in Kishtwar during the then Ghulam Nabi
Azad government had not been implemented yet.

In his reply, Finance Minister Abdul Rahim Rather said
the decisions taken at DDBs meetings were being implemented by
the departments concerned.
All the legislators concerned were being consulted while
formulating the plans at DDBs meetings, he said.
