J&K govt to construct Kargil House in New Delhi

Jammu and Kashmir government will construct a Kargil House in the Union Capital to provide temporary accommodation to the people of Kargil.

Jammu: Jammu and Kashmir government will
construct a Kargil House in the Union Capital to provide temporary accommodation to the people of Kargil.

A piece of land has been acquired in Dwarka area of
New Delhi to construct the Kargil House, Minister for Consumer
Affairs and Public Distribution (CAPD) and Transport Qamar Ali
Akhoon said.

Akhoon said that a four storey spacious Kargil House will be consructed with a view to minimise the accommodation
difficulties being faced by the Kargil Hajj pilgrims and
general people in the national capital.

He said adequate funds will be arranged to ensure the
completion of the complex within 2 years.

He issued instructions to the concerned authorities for immediate transfer of Rs 15 lakh to the Delhi Development
Authority as the cost of the land.
