The computer industry in Jammu & Kashmir on Sunday demanded setting of a state-of-the-art IT complex in the state.

Kashmir on Sunday demanded setting of a state-of-the-art IT
complex in the state.

"The state government should set up an IT complex on the
pattern of other centres of trade for handicrafts and tourism
to give boost to the IT and computer industry in the state,"
Jammu Computer Dealers Association (JCDA) President Arvind
Koul told reporters at a three-day exhibition.

The IT business is growing at a fast pace in the state
and we need a multi-facility set-up at one place to give
further fillip to the industry which will provide with jobs to
educated youth and also more money to the exchequer, he added.

The IT industry in the state has shown a business of over
250 crore and it is on further expansion, he said.

As many as 32 computer and IT companies are showcasing
their products at the exhibition, which was inaugurated by the
state Minister for Industries and Commerce Surjeet Singh
Salathia.
