Jammu: Top government officials in Jammu
and Kashmir on Wednesday reviewed the security situation in the state
ahead of the court verdict on Ayodhya title suits in Uttar
Pradesh, asking the law enforcing agencies to take firm action
against anyone trying to disturb peace in the wake of the
ruling.

Chief Secretary S S Kapoor and DGP Kuldeep Khoda reviewed
the law and order situation in view of the upcoming court
verdict and asked senior police officers to keep a strict
watch and deal sternly with anyone trying to foment trouble.
Sufficient forces are available to tackle any situation
in the region, they said.

The Lucknow bench of the Allahabad High Court is
scheduled to deliver the verdict in the 60-year-old Ayodhya
title case on Septmebr 24.
