Jammu: The Jammu and Kashmir government has invited proposal for selection of technical consultants to prepare a feasibility report for power distribution in Jammu and Srinagar in the view of demand and supply gap in the two cities.
Jammu and Kashmir Power Development Department (JKPDD) has invited proposal for selection of technical consultants for preparing a feasibility report for development of technical consultancy for power distribution project for Jammu and Srinagar cities, Development Commissioner (Power), Manzoor Ahmed Salroo said on Tuesday.
A Request For Proposal (RFP) has been floated by the government for the same.
The step has being taken by the government in view of power crises faced by twin capital cities -- Jammu and Srinagar -- due to gap between demand and supply.
"The feasibility report would be prepared on resource and demand assessments, technical assessment, identifying operational system requirements, delineating capital and operating estimates, identifying the project`s risks and ways of mitigating them and assessment of the environment and social impact of project," he said.
