Srinagar: Suspected militants shot dead a
youth in Sopore town of north Kashmir, police said on Wednesday.
Bullet-ridden body of 28-year-old Mohammad Ashraf was
recovered by police near Krankshivan colony, 55 kms from here
this morning, a police spokesman said.
The spokesman said Ashraf, a resident of MET road in
Sopore, was working as a labourer in the town.
This is the second civilian killing in Sopore town
within a week.
On July 25, unidentified militants shot dead a
38-year-old businessman Mohsin Ahmad in Sopore town.
No militant outfit has so far claimed responsibility
for the killings.
