J&K: IED found in Badgam district

Security forces on Monday detected an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) planted by militants in Magam area of central Kashmir's Budgam district, police said.

Srinagar: Security forces on Monday detected an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) planted by militants in Magam area of central Kashmir's Budgam district, police said.

A joint road opening party of army and police detected a three-kg pressure cooker IED by the roadside at Mazhama in Magam area, 21 kms from here, this morning, the police said.

A bomb disposal squad was rushed to the spot and the IED destroyed in the open fields without causing any damage, it said.
