The Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party (JKNPP) on Saturday appealed to the people of Jammu region to prepare themselves for a "decisive battle" against the incumbent government.

Jammu: The Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party (JKNPP) on Saturday appealed to the people of Jammu region to prepare themselves for a "decisive battle" against the incumbent government.

"There has been a gross betrayals and failures of the incumbent government on varied issues, and people should be ready for a decisive battle," JKNPP chairman Harsh Dev Singh said.

He said that the public can no longer be duped and cajoled by the false assurances, fake promises and empty sloganeering of the BJP-PDP coalition.

He accused the BJP leadership of having utterly failed to redeem any of its pre-poll promises with its electorates.

"People have further been cheated on a host of other issues by the BJP, the disappointment of masses had translated into anger and rage," Singh said while addressing a public meeting in Majalta area of Jammu.

Singh said that besides the issue of AIIMS, the BJP had failed to get the much publicized Smart City sanctioned for Jammu despite the city fulfilling the prescribed norms and criteria.

He said the recent order pertaining to service tax on Vaishno Devi helicopter service had proven the bluff of BJP and established that the party ministers were mere ornamental pieces in the present government.

While the PDP held the reins of government with all major decisions being taken by it unilaterally, the BJP ministers were content with the two flags flying on their vehicles, he said.

The BJP MLAs and ministers had rendered themselves as objects of ridicule and contemptuous humorous disparagement by their continuous surrenders on Jammu-related issues and their second fiddle role in the government, Singh added.
