Srinagar: Double tragedy struck a family in south Kashmir's Kulgam district when a member was allegedly murdered while another died due to a heart attack after she came to know about it.
Irshad Hussain (30) was found dead in an orchard in Mirhama area of Kulgam, 75 kms from here, late last night, a police official said.
Preliminary investigations suggest that the man was murdered, he said, adding the body has been sent for post-mortem
As the relatives of the deceased assembled at his residence at Mirhama, one of his cousins -- Nisara Akhtar -- suffered a heart attack and died, the official said.
Meanwhile, police recovered the body of a 60-year-old woman from River Jhelum in Banyari area of Sumbal in Bandipora district, the official said, adding efforts are on to identify the deceased.
