New Delhi: Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi on Friday slammed the 'frustrated and depressed' anti-national forces behind the cowardly attack on a police station in Kathua and added that such forces won't be allowed to succeed at all.
"Unfortunately the frustrated and depressed anti-national forces they are totally falling apart. And with such cowardly acts they showcase their depression and frustration. These forces won't be allowed to succeed at all," Naqvi said.
Meanwhile, Bharatiya Janata Party leader Ravinder Raina said the army and police should be given a free hand in the state to eliminate terrorism completely.
"Army and J-K police should be given free hand to eliminate terrorism completely, Pakistan has breached our trust again," said Raina.
Earlier this morning, an attack on the Rajbagh police station in Jammu and Kashmir's Kathua district killed one policeman and injured nine people including seven CRPF personnel, one policeman and one civilian.
A militant was also shot dead by the security forces in the ensuing gun battle.
Home Minister Rajnath Singh has instructed the Jammu and Kashmir Home Secretary to actively monitor the situation. He will also make a statement on the incident in the Lok Sabha today.
