Kidnapped girl rescued in J&K

A minor girl, who was missing since earlier this month, has been rescued by police from her alleged kidnapper here.

Jammu: A minor girl, who was missing since
earlier this month, has been rescued by police from her alleged kidnapper here.

Bismah (15), an NCC scout, was missing from the NCC camp
at Nagrota area here since February 2 and was rescued last
night from the hideout of her kidnapper Nazamul Sakib, an NCC
Inspector, police said.
The victim`s father, a resident of Hili area in Doda
district, had lodged a complaint at Nagrota police station
stating that his daughter had gone to participate in the
Republic Day parade in New Delhi and had returned to Nagrota
NCC camp from where she went missing on February 2, they said.
On a tip off, police yesterday raided a hideout here and
rescued the minor girl, though the alleged kidnapper escaped
from the spot, the police said.
