Lashkar militant arrested in Jammu
In a major breakthrough, the Army on Wednesday arrested a top Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) militant from Jammu, a senior Army official said.

senior Army official said.
Based on specific inputs, a joint team of Army under the
aegis of Counter Insurgency Force Delta, and police
apprehended Mushtaq Ahmed alias Mustafa alias Master, resident
of Budhan area of Reasi district, the official of 16 Corps
The terrorist was apprehended from Jammu, he said, adding
that, the militant had joined LeT in 2004 and was operating in
areas of Gul, Reasi and adjoining areas of Rajouri and Poonch
along with his other Pakistani associates` codenamed Haider,
Abdullah, Abu Saad and Foreman.
Mushtaq had escaped from an encounter with security
forces in 2008 and fled to Jammu, where he started living
covertly since then, officer said adding that, further
investigations are in progress into his nefarious activities
including his role in establishing sleeper cells.
The terrorist has a vast network of Over Ground Workers
(OGWs) and sympathisers in and around Reasi who were regularly
providing administrative and financial support to the
terrorists, he said.
