In a major reshuffle in state civil administration and police, Jammu and Kashmir government has transferred 35 IAS and KAS officers besides 24 IPS officers.
Jammu: In a major reshuffle in state civil administration and police, Jammu and Kashmir government has transferred 35 IAS and KAS officers besides 24 IPS officers.
The State Cabinet, which met here yesterday under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, ordered the transfer and posting of the officers and also promoted 4 officers to the rank of ADGP and two officers to the rank of IGP.
Shaleen Kabra, IAS was posted as Commissioner-Secretary, Technical Education and Youth Services & Sports Department. Asgar Hassan Samoon IAS, Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir, has been transferred and posted as Commissioner-Secretary to the Government, Agriculture Production Department.
It was a major reshuffle after the January 15 Cabinet expansion.
K Rajendra Kumar, ADGP, Armed, Law and Order posted as Director General, Prisons Department. Former Kashmir Police Chief SM Sahai IPS has been posted as ADGP, Armed, official spokesman said.
Shailendra Kumar, IAS, was posted as Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir. Baseer Ahmad Khan, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, Srinagar, has been transferred and posted as Director, Panchayati Raj while Ramesh Kumar Koul, IAS, as Special Secretary to the Chief Minister.
Shiv Dev Singh Jamwal, IAS, Director, H&P Department, be designated as Director General, Hospitality & Protocol Department, while Hirdesh Kumar, IAS, has been posted as Secretary, School Education.
Shagufta Parveen, IAS, posted as Chairman, SSB. Abdul Majid Ganai, IAS, has been posted as Deputy Commissioner, Ganderbal.
Ajit Kumar Sahu, IAS, has been posted as Deputy Commissioner, Jammu. PK Pole, IAS, has been posted as Director, School Education, Jammu. M Raju, IAS, has been posted as Deputy Commissioner, Poonch.
Shyam Vinod Meena, IAS, posted as Deputy Commissioner, Ramban. Mohd Afzal Bhat, posted as Secretary, Cooperatives Department. Farooq Ahmad Shah, KAS, was posted as Deputy Commissioner, Srinagar.
Mohammad Saleem Shishgar, KAS, was posted as Secretary, State Vigilance Commission while GS Chib, KAS, posted as Director, CAPD, Jammu followed by Robin Singh Mehta, KAS, posted as Additional Commissioner, Jammu.
Asif Hameed Khan, KAS, Joint Director, Tourism, Mumbai, was made Additional Resident Commissioner, New Delhi. Mehmood Ahmad Shah was posted as Deputy Commissioner, Commercial Taxes (Vigilance & Inspection).
Government also ordered promotion of four Inspector General of Police (IGPs)-- V K Singh, S M Sahai, Dilbagh Singh and Owais Ahmed Sheikh to the ranks of Additional Director General (ADG) of Police, besides DIG Rajesh Kumar and S S Khandari Shas been elevated to the rank of IGPs, while two SSPs--Askoor Wani and Ali Mohmmad Bhat were promoted to rank of DIGs.
PL Gupta, Commissioner of Vigilance, J&K posted as ADGP, (Coordination) PHQ, against a newly created post, official spokesman said.
Duety Rani Doley, presently on leave has been posted as ADGP, Homeguards and Civil Defence, while V K Singh was posted as ADG, Security.
Rajesh Kumar, has been posted as IGP, Jammu Zone, while Abdul Gani Mir, has been posted as IGP, Kashmir Zone, vice. Suleman Salaria, was posted posted as Commissioner, Civil Military Liaison.
Yoginder Koul, Home Guards has been transferred and posted as IGP, State Human Rights Commission followed by Arun Chowdhary, posted as IGP (Personal), PHQ.
Deepak Kumar, was posted as IGP (HQ), PHQ. Syed Javed Mujtaba Geelani, was posted as IG, Crime. Alok Puri, posted as IG, Vigilance.
JP Singh, was posted as DIG, Baramulla, while Ashkoor Wani, Udhampur posted as DIG, Doda-Kishtwar followed by Ali Mohd Bhat, has been posted as DIG, Vigilance. Shakeel Ahmed Beigh, DIG, Traffic, Jammu has been posted as DIG, Jammu.
