Militant hideout busted, 8 kg IED recovered

Poonch: Security forces on Wednesday busted a
militant hideout and recovered cache of arms and ammunition,
including 8 kg IED, in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir.

27 Rashtriya Rifles (RR) and Special Operation Group
(SOG) of J&K Police during search operation busted the hideout
in Khanetar forest area of Poonch district, police said.

They recovered 8 kg of Improvised Explosive Device (IED)
fitted with a transistor, two radio sets, two Chinese
grenades, 56 Pika rounds, 10 pencil cells, one jacket and one
bag, they said.

With this a major plan of the militants to trigger
violence in the border district of Poonch was foiled, Army
