Militant hideout smashed, 16 kgs of RDX recovered
16 kgs of RDX was recovered from their hideout, which was smashed by a team comprising CRPF, police and army personnel.
Jammu: Sixteen kgs of RDX and a huge cache of arms and ammunition were recovered by security forces from a militant hideout in Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir.
The hideout, which was in Gangra Pattri forest area, was reportedly established by dreaded terrorist Manzoor Ahmed, a police spokesman said.
As many as 16 kgs of RDX were recovered from the hideout, which was smashed by a team comprising CRPF, police and Army personnel.
Other recoveries included a Pika gun, an RPG launcher, an LMG, 4 pistols, 1672 ammunition (rounds) of different arms, 2 grenades, 32 rifle grenades, 2 UBGL grenades (big) and 17 UBGL grenades (small), the spokesman said.
Thirty-two detonators in a plastic bag, a mine and 11 IED batteries were also recovered, he said.
The arms and ammunition, were contained in eight steel boxes, the spokesman said.
Identity card of Manzoor Ahmed and other documents were also found, he said.
