Militant hideout unearthed in J&K

Security forces have unearthed a militant hideout in the forests of Bandipora district in north Kashmir and recovered a huge cache of arms and ammunition.

Srinagar: Security forces have unearthed a militant hideout in the forests of Bandipora district in north Kashmir and recovered a huge cache of arms and ammunition.
Based on intelligence inputs, a joint team of troops of 3 Madras and police unearthed the hideout in the forest of Kimsar Nar near Bandipore and recovered the arms and ammunition, a defence spokesman said today.
The recoveries included three AK-47 rifles with 19 magazines, five pistols of Pakistani origin with four magazines and huge quantity of ammunition, the spokesman added.
