Jammu: A mortar shell was Tuesday recovered from a residential plot during construction activity in Bari Brahamana area of Jammu district thus averting a tragedy.
During construction, some labourers found the mortar shell in Smailpur area of Bari Brahamana, 25-kms from here, police officials said.
On getting information from the locals, army troops rushed to the area and recovered the shell, they said.
