Mughal Gardens in J&K opened to visitors

Srinagar: Thousands of people today visited Mughal Gardens along the banks of Dal Lake here as it was reopened for public on the occasion of 'Baisakhi'.

Marking the first outing after the winter, visitors thronged the Gardens including Nishat, Shalimarg, Cheshmashahi and Harwan on the banks of the Dal Lake since morning, official sources said.

On Baisakhi, the garden is opened to visitors every year.

There was also heavy rush of people in other gardens particularly tulip garden, botanical garden, Pari Mahal on the foothills of Zabarwan range overlooking Dal Lake and Badamwari in downtown Srinagar, they said.
