Srinagar: Hailing the recent Indo-Pak talk process, a Jammu and Kashmir minister has said the National Conference has always advocated for holding dialogue between the two countries.

"Our (NC) stand has been vindicated by both countries (India and Pakistan) by agreeing to talk to each other for resolving all bilateral issues," Law Minister Ali Mohammad Sagar said here yesterday.

NC has always advocated for holding dialogue between India and Pakistan, he told a party gathering.

The people of the state were looking forward to the outcome of the dialogue process, the minister said, adding that a peaceful relationship between the two countries can go a long way in boosting bilateral trade and related activities.

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh held talks with his Pakistani counterpart Yousuf Raza Gilani on the sidelines of the 17th SAARC summit organised in Maldives earlier this week.
