NC asks Kashmiri youth to strengthen hands of Omar

National Conference asked the youth in Jammu and Kashmir not to be misled by disruptive forces and to strengthen the hands of CM Omar Abdullah.

Jammu: National Conference on Saturday asked the youth in Jammu and Kashmir not to be misled by disruptive forces and to strengthen the hands of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, saying that the ruling coalition was committed to equitable development of all three regions of the state.

"We appeal to the youth especially the valleyites not to be misled by disruptive forces and urge them to strengthen the hands of Omar Abdullah in order to have expeditious phase of developmental activities," Minister of State for Tourism, Housing and Urband Development Nasir Wani told a gathering of NC workers in Kathua district.
National Conference is committed to fulfil the promises made to the people of the state and shall always strengthen secularism and brotherhood and work to fight the communal
forces bent upon creating chaos in the Valley, he said.

Reiterating the ruling NC-Congress combine`s commitment to the equitable development of all the three regions of the state, he said it is very much sensitive to the issue of unemployment and highlighted the steps taken to fight the problem.
Kathua MLA Charanjit Singh Jasrotia joined the NC along with his supporters at the meeting. Welcoming him into the party fold NC`s president for Jammu province R L Gupta said Jasrotia`s entry will strengthen the party ahead of the forthcoming Panchayat polls.
