Srinagar: Nine members of a family were
rescued by the police after they were trapped inside their
house submerged under flood water in Kulgam district.
"Nine family members of Wali Mohammad Moonchi were
rescued from their house at Akhran in Kulgam district on Tuesday
evening after they were trapped due to flooding caused by
heavy rainfall", according a police spokesman.
Seven houses were also damaged due to strong winds in
Harwan area of Srinagar in Kashmir, but none were injured, he
added.
