One hurt as shell goes off

An unexploded shell went off at an Army practice firing range in Budgam district of Central Kashmir, injuring a man seriously.

Srinagar: An unexploded shell went off at
an Army practice firing range in Budgam district of Central
Kashmir, injuring a man seriously.

40-year-old Ali Mohammad Malik was collecting brass
pieces at the firing range at Tosa Maidan last evening when an
unexploded shell went off, police said.

The Army had conducted a firing practice there earlier
in the day, they said.

Malik, who received injuries in the leg, was admitted
to a hospital.
