Jammu: In yet another ceasefire violation, Pakistani troops have opened fired on Indian forward posts along the Line of Control (LOC) in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir.

They resorted to small arms firing on Indian forward area of Kranti post in Nangitikri belt late last night, a senior Army officer said on Saturday.

The firing commenced around 21:30 hours and continued for fifteen minutes. The Pakistani side fired around 300 rounds of small arms during this time, he said.

"There was no loss of life or damage to property in the firing," the officer said, adding that Indian troops maintained restraint and did not fire in the incident.
