Panel on Sagheer report a futile exercise: BJP

The BJP on Wednesday advocated winding up of the committee set up to study Sagheer report on the ties between the Central and J&K governments.

Jammu: The BJP on Wednesday advocated winding up of
a Cabinet Sub-Committee (CSC) set up to study Justice Sagheer
Ahmed Working Group`s report on the relationship between the
Central and Jammu and Kashmir governments.

"We call for immediate winding up of CSC which is a
wasteful liability on state exchequer designed only to play a
cruel joke on the people of Jammu and Kashmir," state BJP
chief spokesperson Jitendra Singh said.

He was reacting to the state government`s order extending
the term of CSC for three more months.
