Rs 2.79 cr disbursed among militancy victims this year

Jammu: The Council for Rehabilitation of
militancy hit victims has provided a financial assistance of
Rs 2.79 crore to the beneficiaries till October during the
current financial year.

Minister for Social Welfare Sakina Itoo at a review
meeting held here today directed for creating awareness among
the people, especially those living in hilly and far-off
pockets of the state, so that no victim was deprived of the
welfare measures initiated by government for their
rehabilitation.

She called upon the officers to encourage people to come
forward to avail benefits of various welfare schemes launched
by the government to raise their socio-economic profile.
