French Open: Nadal, Djokovic reach fourth round

Paris: Rafael Nadal defeated Fabio Fognini 7-6(5), 6-4, 6-4 to advance to the fourth round of French Open on Saturday. Nadal, was trailing 2-4 in the first set but then some lapse from the side of Fognini helped him claw back into the match and he took the first set 7-6. The Spaniard will now face Kei Nishikori of Japan in the next round. Top seed Novak Djokovic faced no difficulties in facing Grigor Dimitrov as he registered an easy straight set victory. He won 6-2, 6-2, 6-3. However, Djokovic later broke down in his locker room after learning of his former coach Jelena Gencic’s death. Djokovic will now meet Germany`s Philipp Kohlschreiber in the last 16.
