Jammu: After a youth carrying a revolver was
nabbed by the police during LK Advani's rally in Punjab,
authorities here have tightened security ahead of the BJP
leader's visit to the city.
The security arrangements have also been beefed up in view
of Tibetan spiritual leader the Dalai Lama's visit here
tomorrow, officials said today.
Advani will address a public rally at Dussehra Ground
tomorrow soon after his Jan Chetna Yatra enters the city.
The Dalai Lama is scheduled to inaugurate a photo
exhibition on Ambaran Buddhist site in Akhnoor.
The police had yesterday seized a licensed revolver from a
Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha activist during L K Advani's
rally in Phagwara in Punjab. Police found the revolver while
frisking the youth, who had come to attend the rally, at the
entry point of the venue.
