Senior army commander briefs J&K Governor

General Officer Commander of Army`s 16 Corps, Lt Gen J P Nehra on Tuesday briefed Jammu and Kashmir Governor N N Vohra about the security situation and cross-border infiltration in the state.

Army`s 16 Corps, Lt Gen J P Nehra on Tuesday briefed Jammu and
Kashmir Governor N N Vohra about the security situation and
cross-border infiltration in the state.
Lt Gen Nehra called on Vohra at Raj Bhavan here and
briefed him about the security situation and continuing cross-
border infiltration in his command area, a Raj Bhavan
spokesman said.

The Governor discussed with Lt Gen Nehra various other
issues, including counter terrorism operations, counter
infiltration measures along the border line, he said.
This was the GOC`s first meeting with the Governor
after taking over as the Corps Commander of 16 Corps recently.

Vohra also wished Lt Gen Nehra a very successful
tenure, the spokesman added.
