Seven Kashmiri civilians injured in Pakistani shelling
Seven civilians were injured in shelling by Pakistani troops in Kanachak sector of the international border in Jammu and Kashmir.
Jammu: Seven civilians were injured on Thursday evening in shelling by Pakistani troops in Kanachak sector of the international border in Jammu and Kashmir.
A senior police officer told a news agency that Pakistan Rangers used mortars and small arms to target paramilitary Border Security Force (BSF) posts.
He said: "Some shells fired by the Rangers exploded in Garkhal village of Kanachak today (Thursday) evening, injuring seven people, including four women and a child. All the injured are members of a family.”
"The injured are being shifted to a hospital. BSF troops have retaliated the unprovoked firing by the Pakistani troops. Till last reports came in, exchange of fire was going on in the area."
