Six injured in explosion in J&K

At least six people were injured today when an explosive device went off in south Kashmir`s Pulwama district, police said.

injured today when an explosive device went off in south
Kashmir`s Pulwama district, police said.

"Six people have been injured in the explosion but all
of them are out of danger. The explosion has probably been
caused by a grenade left in the area after a recent
encounter," Senior Superintendent of Police for Pulwama Amit
Kumar said.

Two militants, including a Jaish-e-Mohammad commander,
were killed in a 20-hour gunbattle which also left an army
officer injured in Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir last
week.
