Jammu: An Amy soldier was injured overnight due to an accidental firing on the line of control (LoC) in Poonch district of Jammu region.
"An Army jawan of Bihar regiment was injured in an accidental gunfire on LoC in Panjaani (Balakote) area of Mendhar sector of Poonch district late night," a defence source told IANS on Thursday morning.
The injured soldier has been shifted to hospital for treatment.
The exact cause of the incident is being determined.
