Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir government
has directed the authorities concerned to process the cases
for appointment of one member each in Railways from families
whose 75 per cent land has been acquired for construction of
railway tracks in the valley.
The instruction was given yesterday by Kashmir Divisional
Commissioner Asgar Hassan Samoon after a meeting with
deputations from Budgam, Anantnag, Pulwama and Baramulla
districts here, an official spokesman said here today.
The government after receiving the reports from the DCs
will recommend such cases for appointment in Railways.
Samoon assured the delegation that all such persons whose
75 per cent land has been acquired for construction of railway
tracks or for approach roads will be considered for
appointment in Railways.
