Srinagar: A two-day traditional Kashmiri
Sufiana music programme concluded here today with performance
by noted artiste Mohammad Yaqoob Sheikh.

The musical programme organised by the Jammu and Kashmir
Cultural Academy and the North Zone Cultural Centre, Patiala
was attended by large number of people, including an American
film-maker, Elayne McCabe.

As a part of her film-making course in Boston College,
McCabe visited Jammu and Kashmir Cultural academy in Srinagar
today to cover the two day music programme here.

McCabe, a student of Kashmiri art said that what
interested her the most about Kashmir was the Sufiana music of
the valley.

"Sufiana kalam is what attracted me towards Kashmir in
the first place. I hope that more programs like the one today
take place in the future and perhaps it will also be useful to
market this to tourists like myself," Elayne McCabe said.
